A Compassionate Approach to Personal & Family Growth
Supporting children, parents, families, and the person behind the parent.
You Don’t Have to Know All The Answers

Struggling to support your child with their big feelings or challenging behaviour? Finding it hard to manage everyone's needs as well as your own?

Perhaps you’ve read all the books, tried all the strategies, and found they just aren't working the way you'd hoped or no longer apply to the stage you're in.
Whether you are dealing with big emotions, searching for answers to understand behaviour or feeling like you've completely lost yourself in the mental load of caregiving, I am here to support you.

How I Can Support You and Your Family:

I provide a supportive, neuro-informed space for children (8+), teens, and parents to grow as individuals and as a family.

I also offer support options for you, the 'person behind the parent', to address burnout, reduce the mental load, and give you a place to rediscover yourself in addition to your role as a parent.
You do not have to carry it all by yourself.

Child & Youth Support
(Age 8+)
Supporting children and teens (ages 8+) as they navigate the social, emotional, and academic "ups and downs" of growing up. My approach is person-centred, neuro-informed and strengths-based, helping your child understand their world while building the practical tools they need for school, friendships, and home.

Parenting & Family
Support
Collaborative sessions focused on strengthening your family’s foundation. We work together to make sense of development and behaviour, while building a practical roadmap for better communication and connection. This is about finding a way forward that works for the reality of your unique family.

Individual Support
for Parents & Caregivers
A dedicated space for the person behind the parent. Whether you are a mother, father, or caregiver, this is a place to focus on your own well-being, identity, and the process the daily stressors of adult life. We work to build on your strengths as an individual, helping you find the clarity you need to show up for yourself and your family in a way that is sustainable and real for you.

Hi, I'm Tara!
With over twenty years in education and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, my style is grounded and direct, but deeply rooted in kindness. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions; instead, I use a research-informed and evidence-based approach to build on the strengths your family already has.
Whether we are working with your child, your family, or on you as the 'person behind the parent,' we will focus on practical strategies that work for the realities of your life.

Haudenosaunee (ho-den-o-show-nee),
Mississauga and Anishinaabe (a-nish-nah-beh) Nations,
Came together with all their relations.
Living together, they had a united wish,
To share the land and waters in peace, like One Spoon with a Dish.
Now many Indigenous families, Métis and Inuit too,
Live here in treaty agreement, with me and you;
In the spirit of Peace, Friendship and mutual Respect,
We protect each other and the land, which we should never forget.

This child-friendly land acknowledgement is shared with gratitude from the Toronto Public Library’s "My Visit to the Library" social story.
